Tri-Coastal’s sales department is your first contact in the world of high-quality wholesale manufacturing. They act as a guide, an advisor, and a salesperson. They take you, the client, through the process from beginning to end, working alongside the production department to lower your costs, ensure on-time delivery, make changes to orders, and above all else: listen to and meet your needs.
Our sales staff works side-by-side with the design and production teams, sharing the same kitchenette and coffee pot, looking out the same windows, sharing thoughts and opinions about the newest products and design boards. They live in a constant state of learning-by-osmosis, surrounded by the other departments, but stay appraised of everything happening with customers’ orders through constant communication and our proprietary software.
For instance, a client’s first meeting with the sales team will likely be in one of our offices to show off the Tri-Coastal catalogue. Our salesrooms remind many of an artist’s gallery—mellow light framing next season’s offerings, cool white walls separating product lines, guided tours ushering visitors throughout the building. And just as a gallery is curated by its owner, each section of our showroom is “owned” by a sales team who arrange the upcoming season’s highlights, as created by our design departments. Members of each of Tri-Coastal’s categories’ sales teams excel by sitting with our design staff, learning about fabrics, accents, zippers, and liners so they can better prepare our clients for the upcoming season.
Just as the sales staff must delve into the design department, they must also learn the ways of the production teams. Much of their time will be spent in contact with the production staff, managing orders, following the progress of pan-oceanic deliveries, and co-chairing meetings with foreign production managers. Although they aren’t responsible for the production arm’s duties, they must know the job to update their clients.
It’s a tough job, but someone has to be the best. So if you need a last minute addition to a preexisting order, or perhaps a new type of fabric to complement an already popular accessory, you’re never more than a few minutes away from the best sales team in the business.
